Enroll in 3 Credit Hours, Receive $1,000

Sauk Valley Community College will provide at least $1,000 to every student who enrolls in the 2022 spring semester. As students continue to be impacted by the effects of the pandemic, SVCC strives to provide funds to enable students to continue their pursuit of higher education.

These funds can be up to $2,000 based on the student’s need which will be determined after completing the FAFSA application. Students must register for at least three credit hours to qualify and will have an additional form to fill out during the registration process. Each student who follows these steps will be eligible to receive funds once per semester.

The funds for these grants have been awarded to SVCC through the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, which provides support to postsecondary education students and institutions. SVCC is pleased to directly distribute these funds to our students, as they are our first priority. This funding will not count against a student’s current financial aid, is not required to be paid back, and will not impact their future educational funding.
